Ahle Baith-Ashura

Ahle baith, Shariath

“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)

AHLE-BAITH (PEOPLE OF THE HOUSE)

9/36  Indeed, the number of months with Allah has been (inscribed as) twelve in the Book of Allah (i.e., permanent Law of Nature) since the day He created (the system of) the heavens and the earth. Of these, four months (Rajab, Dhu al-Qa‘da, Dhu al-Hijja and Muharram) are sacred. This is the right Din (Religion). So do not wrong your souls during these months (by involving yourselves in fighting and war), and fight against all the (combatant) idolaters (in retaliation) the same way as they all (allied) have imposed war upon all of you, and bear in mind that Allah is surely with the Godfearing.

Day of Ashura

On this day that the Ark of Nuh (as) came to rest on Mount Judi. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir reported by imam ahmed(ra))

“Prophet Nuh’s arc landed on Mount Judi on the Day of Ashura. He and his companions spent the day fasting to thank Allah (swt). Animals didn’t eat anything either.

Allah (swt) split the sea for Beni Israel (the Children of Israel) on the Day of Ashura.

Allah accepted the repentances of Prophet Adam and the people of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) on the Day of Ashura, too. Besides, Prophet Abraham was born on that day.” (Tabarani)

It was narrated from Hadrat Aisha:“Ashura is the day which Kaaba is covered.” (Muslim, Abu Dawud)

Ayni (ra) states that:” Some people mentions Idris (Enocha), Ayyub (Job) and Sulayman (Solomon) amongst the ten prophets, because Idrıs was ascented to the heaven on that day. Ayyub recovered from his illness and Sulayman was bestowed wealth. (Sahihi Muslim)

On this day: Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) accepted the repentance of Sayyidina Adam (‘Alaihis-Salaam) after his exile from Paradise; Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) saved Sayyidina Nuh (‘Alaihis-Salaam) and his companions in the ark; Allah extinguished the fire in which Sayyidina Ibrahim (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was thrown by Nimrod; And Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) spoke directly to Sayyidina Musa (‘Alaihis-Salaam) and gave him the Commandments. On this same 10th of Muharram, Sayyidina Ayyub (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was restored to health (from leprosy); Sayyidina Yusuf (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was reunited with his father Ya’qub (‘Alaihis-Salaam); Sayyidina Yunus (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was taken out from the belly of the fish; and the sea was divided as the nation of israel was delivered from captivity and Pharoah’s army was destroyed. ‘Ashura is also the day when Sayyidina Dawud (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was forgiven; the kingdom of Sulaiman (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was restored; Sayyidina Isa (‘Alaihis-Salaam) was raised to Jannah and Sayyidina al-Husayn (RadiyAllahu ‘anh) (the Holy Prophet’s, SallAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam, grandson) achieved the honor of Martyrdom. Ghunya li-Talibi Tariq al-Haqq, Sayyidina Abdul Qadir al-Jilani(ra).

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RadiyAllahu ‘anh) reports that the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) arrived in Madinah and found the Jews observing fast on the day of ‘Ashura… They said: “It is the day of great (significance) when Allah delivered Hazrat Musa (‘Alaihis-Salaam) and his people and drowned Pharoah and his people, and Sayyidina Musa (‘Alaihis-Salaam) observed fast out of gratitude. And we also observe it.” The Holy Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) responded: “We have more right, and we have closer connection with Sayyidina Musa (‘Alaihis-Salaam) than you have”; so Allah’s Messenger (SallAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) observed fast (on the day of ‘Ashura) and gave us orders to observe it. [Sahih Bukhari and Muslim]

‘The best of fasting after Ramadhan is fasting Allah’s month of Muharram.” (Sahih Muslim)

(FASTING) Imam Ash-Shafi’i (ra) has said It is mustahabb to fast on both the ninth and tenth days, because the Prophet (ﷺ) fasted on the tenth, and intended to fast on the ninth.”

(SPENDING) “One who generously spends on his family on the 10th of Muharram (Ashura), Allah will be generous on him for the entire year.” (Al-Bayhaqi, Shu’ab al-Iman)S

WASILA(intermediation) OF PANJATAN PAAK

Imam Suyuti (Ra) reports that Hazrath ibn Abbas (Ra) , the famous traditionalist and authority on the Qur’aan, asked the Prophet (saws)  about the words which Adam received. The Prophet (saws)  replied:’He prayed saying, “O Allah, for the sake of Muhammad, Ali, Fatimah, Hassan and Hussain, do turn towards me”, and He turned towards him’.

The following Hadith supports this:”The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) has stated that when Allah created Adam (As) ‘ Adam lifted his eyes and looked towards the right side of the Garden of Eden. He saw five shining faces prostrating themselves before Allah. Adam asked Allah who they were. Allah said that they will be from his descendants, but they will not be created of clay. They will be created out of light (nur). “The whole universe has been created by Me for their sake. Their names have been derived from My names: I am Mahmood (The Praised one) and he is Muhammad (The Praised one); I am Aali (The Supreme) and he is Ali; I am Faatir (creator) and she is Fatimah; I am Ehsaan (Beneficent) and he is Hassan; I am Mohsin (Generous) and he is Hussain. I swear by My Honor that if anybody comes before Me with the least disrespect or hatred for any of them, I shall cast them into hell without any consideration. O Adam! These are my five chosen and blessed and for their sake I will forgive and bless unlimited numbers. If you or your progeny have any difficulties approach Me in the name of the Blessed Five.’

When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
