Fitna /Confusions

…”He who separates from the main body (of the Ummah) by even a hand’s breadth from the Community he throws off Islam from his neck.” (Mishkat-ul-Masabih, 1/185 & Sunan Abu Dawood, 3/4740).

Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said, “You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader (during the time of trials). I (the narrator) said, “If they have no (such thing as the) main body and have no leader? He said, “Separate yourself from all these (deviant) factions, though you may have to eat the roots of trees (in a jungle) until death comes to you and you are in this state.” Muslim, Bukhari

“…Allah’s hand is over the Jama’ah and the Devil is with whoever deviates from the Jama’ah.” (Tabarani) 

….. So beware of the paths which branch off and adhere to the Jama’ah, the masses and  the masjid.” (Ahmad; NB- The version given in Mishkat, 1/184, also on the authority of Imam Ahmad does not have the addition ‘the masses and the masjid.’) 

…..avoid factionalism and keep to the Congregation and the collective and the masjid.”[ Ahmad ,Haythami in Majma` al-zawa’id 6/123]

…”He who deviates from the largest group of Muslims, even as much as a hand span, has himself cut off his connection with Islam”. (Abu Dawud)

“Beware of extremism in religion, since those before you were only destroyed by extremism.” (Sunan Nasa’i, Musnad Ahmad and others)

Three people came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet asking about the worship of the Prophet. When they were informed, they thought it was too little and said, “Who are we in comparison to the Prophet for indeed Allah has forgiven him his past and future sins.” One of them said, “As for me, I will pray the whole night long.” Another said, “I will fast every day without breaking it,” and yet another said, “I will stay away from women and never marry.” The Messenger of Allah came [and when he heard of this, he] said, “Are you the people who said such and such? As for me, By Allah, indeed I am the most god-fearing and most cautious amongst you, but I fast and I eat, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. Whoever desires other than my Sunnah (Way), then he is not from me.” (Bukhari #4776)

“Whoever revives a Sunnah from my Sunnah and the people practice it, will have the same reward of those who practice it without their reward diminishing” (Sunan ibn Maajah, 209)

“Whoever cherishes me and whoever loves me will be with me in Jannah” {Tirmizi #2678}

Group  on the right path=  “The main (al-Jama’ah) body of the Muslims.” [Ibne Majah Kitab al-Fitan]

…Save yourselves from being caught in the traps of misguidance and firmly remain with the largest and most well known group of Muslims!” [Ahmad]
