THE ETIQUETTE OF AMAMA SHARIFF

Wear the Amama whilst standing facing the Qibla & take it off whilst sitting.

It is the Sunnah of the angels. The angels make salaam to those who wear an Amama.

Tie the Amama from the right (Clockwise).Do not have the length more than twelve arms as it is against the Sunnah.

Take the Amama of the same manner you put it on but do not pull it off.

The shimla/tail can either be a minimum of four finger lengths and the maximum is that it doesn’t give you any problems / inconvenience.

The difference between the polytheists and us is that we wear a hat under our Amama while the polytheists do not.

Salaah with an Amama is more virtuous than with out it.

Every round you tie on your head of the Amama, on the day of Resurrection you will be given light (Noor).

With the Amama one Jumu’ah is equivalent to seventy Jumu’ahs.

THE ETIQUETTE OF BEARD

Take the beard in your fist that is below the chin and take it towards the throat. Grip all the hair into your fist and in your hand you should only have a fist full of hair. Make sure no part of your hand is touching the chin. The hair that is below the fist can be trimmed.

The beard is an element of beauty on a mans face, so it should be left unshaven. A beard should be kept clean and combed.

A man should not be ashamed of gray hairs in his beard, and should not pluck them out.

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) blessed beard was so thick and long that it filled his blessed chest.

To trim off the beard in excess of one fist length so that it becomes neat and tidy. To trim the moustache. (The hair of the moustache should not be allowed to reach the lip.)

Imam Malik and Imam Shafi’i detested those who shaved their moustache.

The moustache be trimmed in such a manner that it looks similar to the eyebrows.

To dye the hair with ‘henna’ leaves (red colour) or to simply leave it white.

 The hair and nails should be buried and to flush them is disliked (Makrooh) as there is a chance of illness spreading.

To use black dye is forbidden and to use henna is permissible.

Four things should be buried-blood, hair, nails and the cloth that has been used for the menstrual period (Haiz).

Donot acquire knowledge to fight with scholars or dispute with the ignorant or turn people’s glances your way Whoever does so will be in Fire.

The student should be sincere to Allah in his intentions for seeking knowledge.

He should not seek Islamic knowledge for fame or status.

Show respect to elders and scholars.show mercy to children.

Be sincere with religion that is be sincere to Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and the leaders of the Muslims and to the common Muslim.

When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
