Important things to do in ramzan

 

By giving preference to religion over self-desires, a person can acquire the  Pleasure and Nearness of Allah.

 

Niyyat must be to please allah and his rasool (saws) not for show off.

Always be in a state of wudhu (keep your clothing neat and clean)

One should fast for the entire month

Perform all Salaat with congregation/jamaat

Engage in recitation of the Qur’aan(complete atleast 1 quran e paak or abundantly  recite Surah qadr and surah iklas )

Perform Taraaweeh

Give zakat and fitra (do additional charity) .

Tahjud + Sehri

Sincerely reciting tasbeeh (Subhaanallah), tahleel (Laa ilaaha illallah), tahmeed (Alhamdulillah), takbeer (Allaahu Akbar), Istighfaar (Astaghfirullah), Kalimah Tayyibah, and Durood o salaam

Spiritual Dua (especially “ALLAH HUMMA INNAKA A’FUVUN TOHIB BUL AFVA FA’AFU ANNI”-ask for Jannah and Seek refuge in Allah from Hell)

Taking of Sehri is Sunnah.

It is appreciable to break the fast with dates /water .

Search for laylatul qadr –particularly in the last ten nights(especially i.e. 21, 23, 25, 27, 29)

One should especially refrain from slander and harmful talk. Show Kindness and  good manners

Help the needy and poor .

Do lot of isaal-e thawaab (for both living and dead)

Regularly use miswaak ,itr and surma.

The six Nafl fasts after Eid have great merit

Taraaweeh is Sunnah for women too.The women should also try to perform i’tikaaf in their homes.

Better to offer qadha salah abundantly.

TARAWEEH-It is desirable to sit and rest for a while after every four rak`ats recite La ilaha illallah or recite the Glorious Qur’an or send blessings upon the Messenger or pray nafl alone or read the tasbih:“subHana dhil-mulki wal-malakut, subHana dhil-’izzati wal-’azmati wal-haybati wal-qudrati wal-kibri-ya ‘i wal-jabarut, subhanal-malikil-Hayyil-ladhi la yanamu wa la yamut, subbuHun quddusun rabbuna wa rabbul-mala ‘ikati war-ruH, Allahumma ajirna minannar, ya mujiru ya mujiru ya mujir”

Itikaaf

Perform i’tikaaf in the last ten days of Ramadhaan(time must be spend in total devotion)  .

The ESSENTIAL I’tikaaf can be at least for one day and more for as many days as resolved.

The SUNNAH (MU’AKK’ADAH) I’tikaaf is for ten days i.e. the last ten days of Ramadhaan. The MUSTAHAB (Appreciable) I’tikaaf there is no  time limit. It may be for one minute or even less(while enterning masjid make the niyyat for itikaaf of masjid)

All the time should be devoted in recitation of Holy Qur’aan or teaching and learning religious knowledge or should remain engaged in other religious prayers.

KAFFAARAH (RECOMPENSATION OF FAST) —The compensation (Kaffaarah) of breaking a fast of Ramadhaan is to fast continuously for two months-keeping in instalments is not proper.If anyone is weak and does not possess the strength to keep sixty fasts at a stretch, then he should feed sixty poor persons morning and evening to their full satisfaction i.e. as much as they can eat.Instead of feeding it is also permissible to give grain to the poor but its quantity for each person should be equal to Sadqa-e-Fitr will be described with description of Zakaat.It is also permissible to give the price of so much of grain. Fidiyah (recompensation) equal to Sadqa-e-Fitr to the poor or feed sufficiently in the morning and evening. This is called Fidiyah in Shari’ah.

When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
