Darood o Salaam-Excellence
“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)
The Excellence of Durood Shareef (“Divine Blessings”)
“Surely Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Oyou who believe! Send Blessings (Durood) and Salutations (Salaams) on the Prophet with worthy Salutation”.(33/56)
The highest blessings which Islam has conferred on man is the concept of Tauheed or Unity of Allah in its purest form.
As Allah Himself has acted upon this command this divine practice becomes the sunnah of Allah.
Its a Divine practice. Yet you will never find any change in Allah’s practice.
As the glory of Allah is the highest and the most exalted, so His sunnah is also the highest and the most (35/43.)exalted.
The sunnah of the Prophet ﷺcannot equate with the sunnah of Allah (SWT).
So allah’s sunnah is also unique, peerless and infinite.
Sunnah of allah is free from all bindings of time and other subsidiary obligations.
In Religious practices we follow the sunnah of the holy Prophetﷺnot the sunnah of Allah.
All worships such as prayers, fasting, the pilgrimage, charity and donations are the commandments of Allah but not His sunnah.
Greetings can be sent in any language because it is Allah’s sunnah. It is free from all restraints.
Durood Shareef is immediately accepted by Allah Ta’ala.
No one can doubt its acceptance, as Durood Shareef is being recited by Allah Ta’ala too.
When Almighty Allah sends Durood and Salaams upon Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ, Allah subhanu wa taala is actually blessing him.
When the Malaa’ikah and the Muslims send Durood and Salaams to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ, they are actually showing Almighty Allah their respect for the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Muslims hope that, through the blessings of the Durood and Salaams, Almighty Allah will forgive them of their sins and increase their status in this world and in the Aakirah.
The Malaa’ikah hope that Almighty Allah will increase their status.
Some angels are reciting Allahu Akbar and some are reciting Subhân-Allah. Others are worshipping in the standing position; some in a bowing position and some are worshipping in the state of prostration. In short their worships and positions are numerous and multifarious.. In contrast this restriction is not valid for the greetings and salutations upon the Prophet (ﷺ). All these groups of angels are equally and unexceptionally engaged in showering blessings and salutations upon the Prophet ﷺtogether.
Whenever the Prophet’s name is pronounced, it is compulsory to invoke blessings on him, because this is the sunnah of Almighty Allah, Prophet Âdam (AS), His angels and the commandment of His beloved Prophet (ﷺ).
In fact both of them(salat and salaam) should be sent according to the commandment.
The soul is the soil where the faith of Allah is to be implanted firmly and faithfully which requires continuous recitation of Durood Shareef to thrive and flourish.
When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
Make sure you forward this to others .
