REGARDING THE TRINITY

The Christians worship both Sayyidnia Isa (as) and his mother Maryam. They are worshipped because the Christians regard them to be a part of the trinity; the union of three persons of the father, son and holy spirit in a single god.

(5/116, 5/72-76) they were worshipped as being part of god (mazallah/I seek shelter in Allah!)

Allah informs us of how He will ask Isa (as) if he in any way told people to worship him:

(5/116-117) We understand that Allah will not be angry with Isa (as) but rather Isa (as) will explain what he preached and how the divinity and trinity were made up after he had been taken.

Muslims believe that Isa (as) has not passed away and he will return to this earth, as he is still alive. two verses from the Quran explaining how Isa (as) will return when the hour is near:43/57,43/61. Knowledge means Sayyidina Isa (as) will return, being a major sign that the day of resurrection is close.

Isa son of Mary was not humiliated by Allah

Allah has insulted and humiliated all that which has been worshipped besides Him, however Allah has not criticized or humiliated Isa son of Maryam in the following verse He has reassured him that he will not be disrespected:4/172

A question may arise due to some verses of the Quran such as: Will Isa son of Maryam, Sayyida Maryam and Uzayr (peace be upon them all) be the fuel of the hell fire as the following verse says?

(21/98) The obvious answer to this is: No. In this verse the Arabic word Ma has been used to describe that which was worshipped and Ma is only used to describe lifeless things (i.e., those things that have no soul, do not live and die etc) for example, idols, therefore the verse just recited is not applicable to Sayyidna Isa, Sayyida Maryam, Uzayr (peace be upon them all) or angels. Only lifeless things will be the fuel of the hell fire as Allah Azawajul says in the Quran:21/101-103

(9/31-34)The description given here by the Quran of the rabbis and monks repudiates any possibility that they were actually pious! On the contrary, they are described as Devouring the wealth of mankind. Debaring (men) from the way of Allah. Hording gold and silver for their own desires and certainly not spending it in the way of Allah.
