Hadrat Aisha (ra) narrates: Whenever I entered the house in which Prophet (Peace be upon him) and my father (i.e. Abu Bakr ra) are buried,I used to take off my sheet (from head) thinking that it’s only my father and husband (whom I am visiting), however By Allah! When Umar (ra) got buried with them, I never went inside without being fully covered, this is because of being ashamed of Umar (ra) [Musnad Ahmed bin Hanbal, Volume No. 6, Page No. 202]

Sayyidina Ibn ‘Abbaas (ra) said: “Some of the as-haab (companions) of Sayyidina Rasulullah (saws) sat on a grave, not knowing that it is a grave (as there was no sign of a grave). They heard a person reciting Suratul Mulk till he completed it. They came to Sayyidina (saws) and informed him. Sayyidina Rasulullah (saws)said: “It (this surah) is ‘maa-ni-‘ah’ (protects from the punishment of the grave), it is ‘mun-jiyah’ (saves), it saves a person from the punishment of the grave.” – Tirmithi.

Sayyidina Jubayr (ra) said: “I swear by Allah, Who is One and has no partner, that I put Thaabit Al-bunaanii in his grave. Hamiid At-tawiil was also with me. After having placed the mud bricks, one mud brick fell. (What did I observe?). I observed him perform salaah in his grave. He used to repeat in du‘aa: ‘O Allah, if You had granted anybody from among Your creation the performing of salaah in his grave, then grant it to me too.’ Allah Ta‘aala did not reject his du‘aa.” – Abu Nu‘aym in the ‘Hul-yah’.

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (ra) : The Prophet (saws)once passed by two Graves and said, “These two persons are being punished not for a major sin (to refrain from). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other used to go about with calumnies(to make enmity between friends).”   The  Prophet (saws) then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree, split it into (pieces) and fixed one on each Grave. They said, “O Allah’s Apostle (saws )! Why have you done so?” He replied, “I hope that their punishment might be lessened till these (the pieces of the leaf) become dry.” (Bukhari – Book 4,Hadith 217)

Narrated some Companions of the Prophet (ra) that they heard the Prophet (saws) saying: On the Day of Resurrection, it would be said to the children: Get into Paradise. The Prophet (saws) said: They will say: 0 Lord! (We shall not enter Paradise) unless our fathers and mothers enter (with us). The Prophet(saws) added: They will be brought. Allah (swt) will say: What is the matter that they are reluctant to go to Paradise? The children will say: But what about our fathers and mothers! Allah will say: Enter Paradise you and your parents. (Musnad Ahmad).

Hadhrat lbn Abbas (ra) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (saws) passed by some graves of Madinah  He turned his face towards them, and said: Peace be on you, O people of the graves! May Allah (swt)forgive us and you. You have gone before us and we are to follow. (Tirmidhi, Chapter 59, Hadith # 1055).

When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
