Imam al Ata (rah) the Tabi’i and Faqih of Makkah said: There is no harm in hanging (ayahs of) Quran
(around the neck) [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Volume No. 5, Page No. 439]
Mujahid, Abd Allah ibn `Amr, Ibn Sirin, `Abayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn `Umar,
and others (Allah be well pleased with them all) also narrated it [Musannaf,
5.439]
Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his father, from his
grandfather that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “If
any of you gets a nightmare, let him say:I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah
against His wrath and His punishment and the’ mischief of His slaves and from
the temptations of the devils and that which they bring.Then they will not harm
him.” So, Abdullah ibn Amr used to teach this supplication to his grown
up children. And, he wrote it down on something and hung it on the neck of
those who had not attained puberty. [Abu Dawud 3893 ,sunan tirmidhi Chapter 99,
hadith 3539]
Abu Dawood [rah], Nasai [rah] and Al Hakim [rah] said the Isnad is SAHIH
Sayyida Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) reports: I have
never encountered anyone that resembled the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than Fatima (Allah be pleased with her) in
manner, likeness and speech. When she
(Fatima) came to visit him (the Messenger of Allah) he stood up (to welcome
her), took her by the hand, kissed her and made her sit in his place. And when
he (Allah bless him & give him peace) used to visit her, she would stand
up, take him by the hand, kiss him, and make him sit where she was sitting.(Sunan
Abu Dawud, No. 5175 & al-Bukhari, Adab al-Mufrad)
Book 019, Number 4368: (Sahih Muslim)-It has been narrated on the authority of
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri who said: The
people of Quraiza surrendered accepting the decision of Sa’d b. Mu’adh about
them. Accordingly, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent
for Sa’d who came to him riding a donkey.When he approached the mosque, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon
him) said to the Ansar: “STAND UP TO RECEIVE YOUR CHIEFTIAN” …
standing for funeral procession to
respect dead body
Sayyidina Aamir ibn Rabi’ah (RA) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:When
you see a funeral, stand up for it till it leaves you behind or is placed down.[Nisai
1911, Ibn e Majah 1542,Ahmed11195, Bukhari 1310, Muslim 959, Nisai 1910]
Sayyidina Ali ibn Abu Talib (RA) mentioned standing up for the funeral till it
was placed down. He said, “Allah’s
Messenger ﷺ stood up and then sat down.” [Ahmed1094,
Muslim 962, Abu Dawud 3125, Nisai 1995, Ibn e Majah 1544]
Playing of tambourine (Daf) and flute and dancing in joy was allowed and liked by Prophet Mohammad ﷺ.It is in Hadith – Hazrata Aisha (RA) has narrated that the Apostelﷺ said that ‘make announcement for the marriage ceremony and perform the ceremony at mosque and play on the tambourine (Daf). (Tirmizi).
It is in Hadith – It is narrated by Hazrat Mohammad Bin Haatib radi Allahutala anhu, and he narrates it from Prophet Mohammad ﷺ who said that the difference between lawful (halaal) and unlawful (Haraam) is that in marriages singing and drum beating is performed. (Ahmad, Tirmizi, Nasa’ee and Ibnu Maaja).
It is in Hadith – Hazrata Aisha (RA) narrates that when one Ansari’s bride was sent to her groom’s house in her bridal attire, the Prophet ﷺ said that ‘Don’t you have some play and fun because the Ansar’s like fun’. (Bukhari).
It is in Hadith – It is narrated by Hazrata Aisha (RA), she said ‘I swear to Allah (SUBHANU WAATALA), I saw the Prophet ﷺ, and the Habashis (a tribe of Madina) are playing (dancing) with spears and the Prophet ﷺ hides me with his coverlet so that I could see their play from between his ear and shoulder. Then he stays for me until I myself will return back’. (Bukhari and Muslim).
It is in Hadith – It is narrated by Hazrat Abu Moosa radi Allahutala anhu that the Prophet ﷺ said, O’Moosa, you have been given a flute of the people of Dawood (AS). (Tirmizi).
It is in Hadith – Hazrata Aisha (RA) narrates that Hazrat Abu Bakr radi Allahutala anhu came to our home when two girls were clapping and playing on the tambourine (Daf) during ‘Mana’, and in another narration (the girls were) singing such couplets which were recited by Ansaars during the war of Ba’as. When Hazrat Abu Bakr radi Allahutala anhu chided these girls, the Prophet ﷺ took out the (bed) sheet from his face and said O’Abu Bakr radi Allahutala anhu, leave them, as this is festival time. And in one narration (it is said) O’ Abu Bakr radi Allahutala anhu, every nation has festival and this is our festival.’ (Bukhari and Muslim).
Hazrat Ali(R.A) said: I visited the Prophet with Ja`far (ibn Abi Talib and Zayd (ibn Haritha). The Prophet ﷺsaid to Zayd: “You are my freedman” (anta mawlay), whereupon Zayd began to hop on one leg around the prophet (hajala). The Prophet ﷺthen said to Ja`far: “You resemble me in my creation and my manners” (anta ashbahta khalqi wa khuluqi), whereupon Ja`far began to hop behind Zayd.The Prophet ﷺthen said to me: “You pertain to me and I pertain to you” (anta minni wa ana minka) whereupon I began to hop behind Ja`far.[Ahmad, Musnad 1:108 (#860).]Shaykh Sanusi in his musrat al -faqir.
