Ibn ‘Abbas(ra) reported that a woman was travelling in the sea, and she vowed that if Allah saved her she would fast for one month. Allah saved her, but she died before fulfilling her vow. Her daughter came to the Prophet (ﷺ)and mentioned this to him. He asked, Had she owed money as debt, wouldn’t you have paid it on her behalf? She replied, “Yes.” He said:Allah’s debt is more worthy of being fulfilled. So fulfill (the vow) for your mothers (bukhari)
Sa’d Bin ‘Ubadah reported that he told Allah’s Messenger(ﷺ),”My mother has died; and she had an unfulfilled vow.” He instructed him: Fulfill it for her. (bukhari) “One lady came to the Prophet when he was returning from one of his battles and she said, “Ya RasulAllah, I have made an oath that if Allah sends you back safe, I would play this drum near you and sing for you.”The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Fulfill your oath.” (abudawud)
Sad Bin Jubayr(ra)reported that Ibn ‘Abbas(ra)said: “If a man gets sick in Ramadan and then dies without fasting, food should be given on his behalf – without a need to make up for the fasting. But if he had made a vow (to fast), his wali should fast for him.”(abu dawood)
Once, a person vowed to slaughter a camel at a place called Bawaana. The Holy Prophet(ﷺ) asked him if there was any concentration or festival of the Kuffaar or idols there. When he said, “No,” the Prophet (ﷺ) replied, “Go and complete your vow.” -Mishkaat, Baabun-Nazar.
A woman from the tribe of Juhaina came to the Holy Prophet ﷺ and said, “My mother had vowed to perform Hajj but she died before performing it. May I perform Hajj on my mother’s behalf” The Holy Prophet ﷺ replied, “Perform Hajj on her behalf. Had there been a debt on your mother, would you have paid it or not So, pay Allah’s debt as He has more right to be paid.” (Bukhari)
Imam Bukhari (ra)states that Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar used to read namaaz on the path wherever the Holy Prophet(ﷺ)sometimes performed ibaadat. At some of these places, Musjids were even built. However, some were erroneously built not at the actual places of’ Rasooullah’s (ﷺ)ibaadat. Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar ra would never read namaaz in these Musjids and only perform ibaadat in the correct ones. (Bukhari Sharif, Vol. I, Kitaabus-Salaab, Baabu/-Masaajid Alatt fi Tareeqil-Madina) .This was entirely to attain barkat.

they used to celebrate any of their festivals there?’ They said, ‘No.’ The
Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: ‘Then fulfil your vow, for there is no
fulfilment of vows that involve disobedience to Allaah, or that concern things
that the son of Adam does not possess.’” (Abu Dawood, 2881).
