Life after death
‘Whoever visits my grave, my intercession will be guaranteed for him’. ( Hasan (fair) -Taqi al-Din al-Subki in his book Shifa al-Siqam).
“When you are a custodian of any dead, give them a fine shroud because they (the dead believers) visit one another place and meet one another (Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Baihaqi).
“Whoever visits his parents’ graves or visits one of their graves every Friday, then he will be forgiven and will be written as being one of the pious” (Mishkat page 154).
Hadhrat lbn Abbas (ra) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ ) passed by some graves of Madinah He turned his face towards them, and said: Peace be on you, O people of the graves! May Allah (swt)forgive us and you. You have gone before us and we are to follow. (Tirmidhi, Chapter 59, Hadith # 1055).
“Three things follow a dead man, two of which will return and one
will remain with him. His people, his property and his deeds follow him but his
people and property return, while his deeds remain with him.” [Saheeh
al-Bukharee (8/ 521)]
Whenever someone died, the prophet (saw) would stand for awhile at the burial
site and then say, “Seek forgiveness for your (Muslim) brother and pray
for his steadfastness since he is now being questioned.” [Abu Dawud]
narrated by Umar (ra), the Prophet ﷺ reported that Moses (as)
prayed to Allah to let him talk to Adam (as) and Allah let Moses (as) meet and
talk to Adam (as), when he was still alive and awake. (sunan Abu Dawud, 17, v.
W, p. 226).
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with
her) said,“…Allah took him (in death, Allah bless him and grant him peace)
while he was lying against my chest [lit. between my sternum and the bottom of
my throat], and he (Allah bless him and grant him peace) was buried in my
house.” [al-Bukhari]
If any one of you greets me, Allah
returns my soul to me and I respond to the greeting. [Abu Dawud Book 004,
Hadith Number 2036:] Imam Nawawi (rah) says of this hadith : It is narrated by
Abu Dawud with a “SAHIH CHAIN” [Riyadh us Saliheen 1/255, Hadith # 1402]

Anas b. malik reported Allah’s
Messenger (ﷺ ) as saying: I came. (And in the
narration transmitted on the authority of Haddib (the words are):) I happened
to pass by Moses (alayhis salam) on the occasion of the Night journey near the
red mound (and found him) saying his prayer in his Grave. [Sahih Muslim Book
030, Number 5858:]
Whosoever visits my grave then my intercession becomes Wajib for him [Sunnan
Daraqutni Volume No. 2, Page No. 244, Imam al-Bayhaqi in Shu‘ab al-Iman (3:490)
and others]
Whoever makes pilgrimage then visits me after my death it is as if he visited me in my life. (tabarānī in al-Kabīr)
Ibn Adee Narated and many other
have quoted this ” Imam Bukhari Completed his Book by sitting near the
Blessed Grave of Prophet(ﷺ )”[Muqadama Fathul Bari By
Imam Hajr Asqalani page # 656]
“Imam Bukhari throught out his
life, Used to keep the blessed hair of Prophet(ﷺ ) in his clothes”[Muqadama
Fathul Bari By Imam Hajr Asqalani page 645]
“My Ummah has been presented to me along with its good and bad deeds.” (Muslim)
The Holy Prophet (ﷺ ) was going from Medina to Mecca. Then he saw Hazrat Yunus (alaihis salaam) wearing a woollen garb and riding a red she-camel in the valley of Hersh. (Ibn-e-Majah)
“My entire Ummah was presented before me with each individual’s scroll of deeds, good as well as bad.”(Muslim Shareef, Volume 1, Page 207, Musnad-i-Ahmad, Ibn Majah)
“One night my Ummah was presented before me at my hujrah and I know each of them as clearly as any one knows his colleague.”(Ref : Anba al-Mustafa, Page 19, ref : Tibrani)
“I saw Prophet Moosa in the valley of Azraq, while passing from Makka to Madina. He was reciting ‘Talbiah’ in a loud voice. On another occasion I saw Prophet Yunus wearing a long woolen overcoat and riding a red camel.” (Ibn Majah, pp 20, 208)
When I want to talk to Allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
