SPIRITUAL NAMAZ /SALAH

spiritual wuzu—-intention is to please(raza) allah  .say —Bismillaahil ‘azeem Al’hamdu lillaahi ‘alaa deenil Islaam (or say bismillah ( bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim) before making wudu)

when a man washes his hands— ask allah’s forgiveness (astaqfar) and ask him to keep you among purified people(baatin).when gargling-ask allah to keep your tongue busy with zikrullah(baatin)when rinsing nose-ask allah to reward you the fragnance of jannah(baatin).when washing face-ask allah to brighten your face on the judgement day(baatin)when washing hands-ask allah to be leninent and give your book of deeds in the right hand (baatin).when wiping the head-ask allah to cover you with mercy and pardon you(baatin).when washing feet-ask allah to keep you steadyfast on deen (islam iman and ihsan) (baatin)

recite:Ash’hadu allaa ilaaha illallaahu wa Ash’hadu Anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasooluh and du’aa: Allaahummaj’alni minat tawwaabeena waj’alni minal mutatahhireen ..Perform two raka’at tahiyyat-ul-wuzoo provided the time is not Makrooh.

Spiritual namaz/salah

prayer (namaz) means remembrance (of God) and submissiveness.prayer is an Ascension and a nearness to God.Prayers are sign of a man’s sincerity.The Apostle said: “In prayer lies my delight,” because prayer is a source of joy to the steadfast. Body is for ibadath/praying , heart is for allahs understanding and union,  soul is for allahs love.

Experiencing true communion with Allah Ta’ala is Mi’raaj. some of the efforts which leads to miraj in namaz (salah) are

Pre requisities—-Offer darood o salam and then start the prayer. The body ,the clothing and place must be clean .The face and the chest must be directed towards the “Qiblah”(faith and devotion to Allah). To keep in mind as if I can see Allah or else at least  think Allah is watching  me. Inwardly free from lust(desire)/haram/corruptness/sins/show off. think this is the last Prayer of the life. remember its you who is standing in front of allah and it is you who need him. Offer namaz (salah) with concentration and devotion.  keeping in mind for the whole duration of Salaat that “Allah is watching me”. Maintain calmness till you feel at ease at all levels of namaz/salah

INTENTION/NIYYAT –—– Worship allah out of love because he alone is worthy of worship . The intention is to pray and please ALLAH with affirmation from heart. sincere intention is to approach allah(swt) . It is Mustahab (a preferable deed) to say the Niyat.think about the esteem status of allah when you say  allahu akber and annihilate(fana) yourself .

while standing -one should be in the consciousness of being at the presence of Allah.focus your attention near the area of sajdah. do not care about them distractions/waswasas and pay attention to the meanings of the words.Humble yourself before allah as a slave with love .

Qir’at – keeping the meanings in mind, recite the Holy Qur’an with extreme reverence(adab) , humbleness ,clearly  and with fear . to recite it in such a way that the reciter can hear it.

 In ruku person must praise Allah with humility. When  begins to rise back into a standing position he should be aware that Allah hears the supplication “Allah hears those who praise Him” (Sami-Allahu liman hamidah). In ruku, straighten the back horizontally to the ground with the head in line, and the fingers holding the knees must be spread apart. focus your attention between your feet while in ruku.

while prostration (sajda)- require a person to feel close to Allah. nose and forehead  must touch the ground. Let the feet be firmly grounded . focus your attention on the bridge of the nose during Sajdah.

Tashhud or witnessing is assertion of complete faith and love for Allah. focus your attention on the lap in Jalsah. While conveying salam on rasoolallah (saws) and on saleheen make sure its with love and adab .making the profession of faith/shahadah with concentration. reciting darood e Ibrahim with love and adab. yearning for the acceptance of dua .

Salaam or ending salutation of the prayer is turning away from worldly attractions towards Allah. focus your attention on the  shoulders when making Salaam.

Hope that Allah will accept the ibadah by His mercy, and fear that it may reject it because of the shortcomings of my deeds.
