87/14-17 Indeed, only he who is purified (from the afflictions of his ill-commanding self and pollution of sins) will triumph, And the one who remembers the Name of his Lord and offers Prayers (regularly and abundantly).

87/17…Yet you go for the (pleasures of) the worldly life (instead of turning towards Allah), Whereas (the comfort and pleasure of) the Hereafter is preferable and everlasting.

40/60. And your Lord has said: ‘Always pray to Me; I shall certainly grant your prayer…

41/30-32. Surely, those who say: ‘Our Lord is Allah,’ then stick to it (firmly), angels descend upon them (and say:) ‘Do not fear or grieve, and rejoice in the Paradise that you were promised. We are your friends and helpers in the life of this world and in the Hereafter (too). And there is for you every blessing that you long for. And all those things that you ask for are (available) for you there. (This) is hospitality from the Most Forgiving, Ever-Merciful (Lord).’

41/33. And who can be more pleasing in speech than one who calls towards Allah and does pious work and says: ‘Surely, I am of the obedient servants (of Allah and the Holy Prophet)’?

82/10-12  Whereas there are guardian angels appointed over you, (Who are) dignified, the scribes (writing the records of all your deeds). They know (all) those (actions) which you do.

50/17-18. When the two receivers receive (the recording angels write down his every communication and work), sitting on the right and on the left, Not a word does he utter but a watcher is there beside him ready (to write it).

47/17. And as for those who have taken guidance, Allah increases their guidance and honours them with their station of Godwariness.

48/10. (O Beloved!) Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you in fact pledge allegiance to Allah alone. Allah’s hand is over their hands (in the form of your hand)…..

50/37. There is indeed sure warning and admonition in it for him who has a heart (vigilant and awake, far from negligence,) or listens with active attention (i.e., focuses attention having no contact with anyone other than Allah) and is in a state of (spiritual) vision (i.e., remains lost in the effulgent disclosures of Allah’s absolute beauty).

‘After the deceased (dead) is placed in his grave and his companions turn to leave, he hears the shuffling of their feet as they walk away. Then there comes to him the two angels.’ (Part of Hadith) (Bukhari and Muslim).

“The souls of the martyrs live in the bodies of green birds who have their nests in chandeliers hung from the throne of the Almighty. They eat the fruits of Paradise wherever they like and then nestle in these chandeliers. Once, their Lord cast a glance at them and said: “Do you want anything?” They said: “What more can we desire? We eat the fruit of Paradise wherever we like.” Their Lord asked them the same question thrice. When they saw that they would be continued to be asked and not left (without answering the question), they said: “O Lord, we wish that You may return our souls to our bodies so that we may be slain in Your cause once again. When He (Allah) saw that they had no need, they were left (to their joy in Heaven).” [Saheeh Muslim (4651)]

“The soul of a believer is a bird eating from the trees of Paradise until Allah restores it to its body on the Day of Resurrection.” (An-Nasa’ee, Ibn Majah )

“Three things follow a dead man, two of which will return and one will remain with him. His people, his property and his deeds follow him but his people and property return, while his deeds remain with him.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee (8/ 521)]

“(After the questioning) a man with a beautiful face, beautiful garments and sweet odor comes to the righteous slave and says: “Rejoice in what pleases you, for this is your day which you have been promised.” He asks: “Who are you? For your face is perfectly beautiful and brings good.” He replies: “I am your good deeds.” He then says: “My Lord, bring the Last Hour; my Lord bring the Last Hour, so I may return to my people and my property.” Regarding the evildoer, he (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) said: ” a man with an ugly face, ugly garments and an offensive odor comes to him and says: “Be grieved with what displeases you, for this is your day which you have been promised.” He asks: “Who are you? For your face is most ugly and brings evil.” He replies: “I am your wicked deeds.” He then says: “My Lord, do not bring the Last Hour.” [Saheeh al-Jami as-Sageer, 1/1676]

“This Ummah will be tried in its grave. If it were not for the fear that you might not bury your dead, I would pray to Allah to make you hear what I hear.” [Saheeh Muslim]

The prophet ﷺ said: “The mildest punishment to be inflicted upon a person in Hell is that he will be made to wear a pair of sandals made of fire which will be so hot that they will make his brain boil like things boil on a stove. He will imagine that no one is undergoing a punishment more severe although his punishment, in reality, will be the mildest in Hell.” [Bukhari, Muslim]
