MANNAT-NAZAR O NIAZ –VOWS AND OBLATIONS
Once, a person vowed to slaughter a camel at a place called Bawaana. The Holy Prophet(saws) asked him if there was any concentration or festival of the Kuffaar or idols there. When he said, “No,” the Prophet (saws) replied, “Go and complete your vow.” -Mishkaat, Baabun-Nazar.
A woman from the tribe of Juhaina came to the Holy Prophet and said, “My mother had vowed to perform Hajj but she died before performing it. May I perform Hajj on my mother’s behalf” The Holy Prophet replied, “Perform Hajj on her behalf. Had there been a debt on your mother, would you have paid it or not So, pay Allah’s debt as He has more right to be paid.” (Bukhari)
Whoever dies while he has a fasting to fulfill (as a vow), his wali should fast for him.(bukhari)
Some women made a vow that if the Holy Prophet(saws)returned safely from the Battle of Uhud, they would beat duffs before him.” – Mishkaat, Baahu Manaaqibil-Umar
Imam Bukhari (ra)states that Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar used to read namaaz on the path wherever the Holy Prophet(saws)sometimes performed ibaadat. At some of these places, Musjids were even built. However, some were erroneously built not at the actual places of’ Rasooullah’s (saws)ibaadat. Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar ra would never read namaaz in these Musjids and only perform ibaadat in the correct ones. (Bukhari Sharif, Vol. I, Kitaabus-Salaab, Baabu/-Masaajid Alatt fi Tareeqil-Madina) .This was entirely to attain barkat.
Allama Shaami (ra)writes. “It should be known that the credibility of Hilat (state of being Halaal) and Hurmat (state of being Haraam) is of intention at the time of slaughtering.” – RaddulMuhtaar, Baabuz-Zabah.
Allama Ismail Haqqi (ra)writes, “Imam Ghazzali (ra)states in Ihyaa-ul-Uloorn that there are many preferable acts in our time which were prohibited in the era of the Sahaaba.”Roohul-Bayaan(ayat related to surah tauba)
Saying of Hadrat Abu
Huraira(ra): Is there any of you who will undertake to pray two or four rak’ahs
on my behalf in the mosque of al-Ashshar, (Sunan Abi Dawood, Kitab al-Malaahim, Vol 2, Page 244, Hadith

From the above narration
three clear problems and their solutions can be deduced namely:
1. To offer physical act of worship (Namaz) with the intention of
conveying the thawab of that Namaz to any other person is permissible.
2.To utter by the tongue praying Almighty Allah to convey the thawab to so and so (by Name) is much better than simple intention.
3.To offer the Namaz in the Masjid of some righteous saintly person with the intention of receiving more thawab is also permissible.
One of the action that benefit a person after his death is the fulfilling the deceased’s vows.(List of Beneficial Acts that benefit a person after his death—Janazah prayer for the deceased,Deeds of renewed benefit ,Charitable deeds from a child ,Fulfilling the deceased’s vows ,Payment of the deceased’s debts ,Supplications of the Muslims ,Guarding in Allah’s way ,Reviving the Sunnah etc)
A vow is an act of worship. Fulfilling the vow and care for the oaths is part of imaan.
Best and accepted vow is when one makes a vow to perform a prayer, fasting, offer Zakaah, perform ‘Umrah, or other such acts of obedience and worship.
Best and accepted vow is that which you can do it easily(capable) with obedience for the sake of allah to gain his pleasure because vow is an act of worship.
on the authority of Qataadah (ra) commenting on the verse that reads (what means): {They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows…} [Quran 76:7] He said, “They used to make vows to Allaah The Exalted that they would perform the acts of worship that are enjoined upon them such as prayer, fasting, Zakaah, Hajj, and ‘Umrah. Allaah The Exalted Described them as righteous.”
“Whoever makes a vow that he did not name, then its expiation is the expiation of an oath, and whoever makes a vow that he is not able to fulfill, then its expiation is the expiation of an oath” [Abu Daawood and Ibn Maajah];
“…and whoever makes a vow that he is able to fulfill, then he should fulfill it.”(ibn majah)
When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
