Using Ya-Ahadith
“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)
To Proclaim “Ya Rasool ALLAH” ﷺ
Narrated Abu Hurayra I heard the
Prophet say: “By the one in Whose hand is Abu al-Qasim’s soul, `Isa ibn
Maryam shall descend as a just and wise ruler. He shall destroy the cross,
slay the swine, eradicate discord and grudges, and money shall be offered to
him but he will not accept it. Then he shall stand at my grave side and say:
Ya Muhammad! and I will answer him.Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalani cites it in
al-Matalib al-`aliya (Kuwait, 1393/1973)Abu Ya`la in his Musnad Volume No. 11,
Page No. 462, Published by Dar ul Kutb al-iLmiyyah;
The Messenger ﷺdefeated the kufaar in Badr … (then Imam Ibn Kathir
mentions the sahih hadith of dead hearing the call; as mentioned before) [Tafsir Ibn Kathir under 7:79 for this Quranic verse]
Hazrat Imaam Abdullah ibn Mubarruk (ra), narrated by Hazrat Sa’eed ibn Musayyib (ra), who states: “Not a day or night passes by, without the deeds of the Ummati are being placed in front of the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam). Therefore the Holy Prophet ﷺ recognizes his followers in two ways, firstly by their Alamat (signs) and secondly by their Amaal (deeds).”
It is recorded in the books, “Tanweerul Absaar” and “Sharah Durre Mukhtaar” that: “The intention which one must possess at the time of reciting the Tashahud is the concentration on the meaning of this, that is, in other words, one must remember that one is sending Salaams upon the Holy Prophet ﷺ and that one is praising Allah Almighty. One must be assured of the fact that one is sending Salaams and not merely relaying a message.”
Allama Hasan Sharanbulaani (ra), in his book, “Maraqi-ul-Falah”, states: “Numerous Ulema have in fact clarified this belief. There are some misled individuals who profess that because Angels are deputized to convey the Salaams to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, one should not use the Harf-e-Nidaa. What these enlightened individuals have forgotten is that twice daily the deeds of the Ummati are placed in front of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. In many authentic Ahadith, it is quite clearly stated that all deeds of the individual are placed in front of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, the deceased family and the deceased parents.”
Narrated Abu Talha:”On the day of Badr, the Prophet ordered that the
corpses of twenty four leaders of Quraish should be thrown into one of the
dirty dry wells of Badr. When he halted at the edge of the well, he
addressed the corpses of the Quraish infidels by their names and their fathers’
names, “O [YA] so-and-so, son of so-and-so and O so-and-so, son of
so-and-so! Would it have pleased you if you had obeyed Allah and His Apostle? We
have found true what our Lord promised us. Have you too found true what your
Lord promised you? “‘Umar said, “O Allah’s Apostle! You are
speaking to bodies that have no souls!” Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him
in Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is, you do not hear, what I say better than they
do.”[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 314]
And Anas b. Malik reported that:Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) let the dead bodies of the unbelievers who fought in Badr (lie unburied) for three days. He then came to them and sat by their side and called them and said: O Abu Jahl b. Hisham, O Umayya b. Khalaf, O Utba b. Rab’ila, O Shaiba b. Rabi’a, have you not found what your Lord had promised with you to be correct? As for me, I have found the promises of my Lord to be (perfectly) correct. Umar listened to the words of Allah’s Apostle (may ﷺ) and said: Allah’s Messenger, how do they listen and respond to you? They are dead and their bodies have decayed. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, what I am saying to them, even you cannot hear more distinctly than they, but they lack the power to reply. Then’he commanded that they should be buried in the well of Badr.[Sahih Muslim, Book 040, Number 6869]
A drought, which was known as “Aamur Ramadah” once, occurred during the Caliphate of Hazrat Umar Farouk (ra). His tribe, the Bani Muzaina, approached him and complained that they were dying of hunger, and thus requested the Caliph to sacrifice a few sheep. When he told them that there was nothing left of the sheep, they still insisted. After the sheep were cut and cleaned they noticed that only red bones were to be seen. Hazrat Bilal (ra), seeing this state of affairs, proclaimed loudly, “Ya Muhammadah”, in grief and concern. He was then blessed with seeing the Holy Prophet ﷺ in his dream, who informed him of future glad tidings which did occur later on.
