Sunnah-Actions

Shariath, Sunnah

“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)

The Sunnah: The Practice and Lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad

1.Sunnah (raza e elahi/accepted by Allah-If you want your deeds to be accepted follow sunnah)

2.The word sunnah used in fiqh books means “there is reward if we do it but there is no sin if we do not do it.

3.The inner dimensions of the Sunnah are ultimately linked with Science of the Pursuit of Spirituality  (Tasawwuf).

Sunnah, literally means path. The Sunnah, in Islam, is the path which has been laid down by the character, manners, ritual habits, deeds, example and legislative actions of our beloved Prophet (saw).
Actions / sayings/ silence (approval/disapprovals) of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The second most important source of authority after quran (word of Allah/kalam e elahi)

“….I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner.” [Quran 46:9]

“refer it to God and the Messenger” as “consult the Quran and the Sunnah” 4/59

“If you abandon the sunnah of your Prophet, you will go astray.”(hadith)

And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad PBUH) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment. “(Quran, 59:7)

Our institutions of theology today teach nothing about Ishq and Adab / Love and Respect. They teach theology to anybody and only emphasize the external.

Sunnah does not start with external adornment; it should start with the heart. Islam came to change the heart.

2/8: Of the people there are some who say: “We believe in Allah swt and the Last Day;” but they do not (really) believe. They verbally Testify the Faith (Kalimah) but reject the Prophet ‘s status at heart.  .

The Prophet was sent down to us as a “Rehmat-ul-lilaalameen” “And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds.” (21/107)

Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day and remembers Allâh much. [33/21]

And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), And fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment. [59/7]

“And you stand on an exalted standard of character.” (68/4)

“Say, If you love Allah, follow me, Allah will love you” Quran (3/31)

“Surely Allah does not do injustice so much as an atom’s weight, and in case it is a fair deed, He will double it and bring from very close to Him a magnificent reward.” (4/40)

“Oh you who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy.”(2/208)

Narrated Hadrat Abdullah (ra): The best talk (speech) is Allah’s Book (Qur’an), and the best way is the way of Muhammad (), and the worst matters are the heresies, and whatever you have been promised will surely come to pass, and you cannot escape (it). (Bukhari)

“I have left amongst you two things. You will not go astray so long as you hold fast to them. These are the Book of Allah, and the Sunnah of His Messenger.” (Malik)

“Whoever will hold fast to my Sunnah when corruption shall prevail among men will earn the reward of a hundred martyrs.” (Baihaqi)

“He who copies any people is one of them.” (Ahmad and Abu Dawud).

“Whoever revives a Sunnah from my Sunnah and the people practice it, will have the same reward of those who practice it without their reward diminishing” (Sunan ibn Maajah, 209

“Whoever cherishes me and whoever loves me will be with me in Jannah” {Tirmizi #2678}

“ I Have nothing to do with anyone who is averse to my Sunnah (hadith)

“Actions are but by intention and every man shall have but that which he intended. Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His messenger, his migration was for Allah and His messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated.”(Bukhari & Muslim).

Some seek knowledge for worldly reasons and fame, hence it is important to purify our intentions, before acquiring, or seeking knowledge.

When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
