NAFS E AMMARA

Advices you to gain knowledge but it will not be for Allah ,intention will be of gaining duniya and waste knowledge.(creates takabbur/arrogance)

 (Taqwa) avoiding sins is far greater than doing good deed.

Sins=ordered to do (leaving) and prohibited not to do (doing)

Sins =1. shaitan/nafs (thought) 2. intention/irada (himmat/strength) 3.sudur or performance 4.adaat/repetition 5.fitrat 

Treatment = 1.stop at first instance itself 2.Allah is watching you 3.muhasaba(account yourself ) 4.good sohbat /companionship (no wordly ,increases ahkirat/good deed)

Friends of nafs =shaitan and duniya =anything which takes you away from Allah

Protection from shaitan –tawooz ,la hawla ,4 quls ,wazu

Protection from duniya – be like a traveler (don’t keep duniya in your heart)

Nafs= desires comfort 

THOUGHTS/KHATIR

1.shahwat/desires 2.concept/idea 3.tasawur

Good thought =from Allah

Bad thought= from nafs

On/off or parallel thought=from shaitan

Treatment =Stop negative thought at first instance by saying tawooz /wazu/astagfar/la hawla/4 quls .

DUA

From the heart (never rejected)is accepted in 3 ways

Immediately accepted- what you have asked for

Exchange- which is better than what you have asked for

Delayed –given on the day of judgement/ahkirah.

Never rejected unless it clashes with taqdeer/destiny (Allah willed /slave willed /some pending though Allah knows everything and kept pending for duas to get answered/accepted).

Dua =gain sawaab/ibadat

Making dua is ibadat(gains jannat) and making dua for others is kidmat/serving creation (gains allah’s qurb/nearness)

Function of Heart =irada/ intention  and function of brain=interpretation

Irada meaning protection from sins,good manners ,obedience ,colouring with prophet’s ahklaq(sunnah).

Islah e nafs =following sharia(Nafs=destroys you)

Love for ahkirat and love for duniya cannot be in 1 heart.

Good khalwat/solitude gives good jalwat/association.

Taqwa= qalwat/solitude

Duniya=takes you away from haqq/truth

Ahkirat =takes you to haqq/truth

you buy desires =for duniya

you sell your desires=for ahkirat

Desires =takes you to hell

Qalb/ruh =desires Allah’s pleasure.

When I want to talk to allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)
