“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)

Indeed, man is at a loss (for he is losing his valuable lifetime), Except for those who believe and do good deeds and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to patience (in the face of hardships and afflictions that are faced whilst preaching the Din [Religion] of truth).103/2-3

Surely, Allah has bought from the believers their souls and wealth in return for (the promise of) Paradise for them. ….So, (believers,) rejoice over your bargain against which you have sold (your souls and wealth). This is a colossal achievement.9/111

Righteousness is not merely that you turn your faces to the east or the west. But true righteousness is that a person believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book (revealed by Allah) and the Messengers. Driven by love for Allah, he spends (his) wealth on the kindred, the orphans, the needy, the wayfarers and those who ask and in (liberating slaves’) necks, and establishes Prayer and pays Zakat (the Alms-due). And when they make a promise, they fulfil it and are steadfast in hardship (i.e., poverty) and suffering (i.e., ailment) and at the time of fierce fighting (i.e., jihad). It is these who are truthful and it is these who are righteous.2/177

And those who spend their wealth to show off to people, and believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. And whoever Satan sides with as a companion, so he is an evil companion!4/38

…(When these people of the cave died) and the people of the town disputed concerning their matter, they said: ‘Raise a building over their (cave as a monument). Their Lord knows best their state of (saintly) affairs.’ Those (believers) who had the upper hand in their matter said: ‘We shall certainly build a mosque (at their door so that the believers may pray therein, and acquire special bounty by obtaining spiritual nearness to the people of the cave).’18/21

Only he who believes in Allah and the Last Day and establishes Prayer and pays Zakat (the Alms-due) and who fears none but Allah can maintain and frequent the mosques of Allah. So they alone are expected to become the rightly-guided.9/18

Only he who believes ….and who fears none but Allah can maintain and frequent the mosques of Allah. So they alone are expected to become the rightly-guided.9/18

…this (veneration) is of the Godwariness of hearts (only those whose hearts have been blessed with the fear of God venerate these signs).22/32

By the fig and by the olive! And by (Mount) Tur of Sinai! And by this city of peace (Mecca)! 95/1

Indeed, We have created man in the best constitution (equipoised in the finest proportion). Then We returned him to the lowest state of the low, Except for those who believe and do good works. For them is an unending (i.e., everlasting) reward.95/1-6

And also seek forgiveness (i.e., intercede) for the believing men and women (for that is all they may have in balance for forgiveness). 47/19

‘Abdullah Bin ‘Amr(ra) reported that al-‘As Bin Wa il as-Sahml (his grandfather) bequeathed that one hundred slaves be freed on his behalf. His son Hisham freed fifty; and ‘Amr wanted to free the other fifty, but decided to ask Allah’s Messenger first. He came to the Prophet and said, “O Allah’s Messenger ! My father has bequeathed that one hundred slaves be freed on his behalf. Hisham has freed fifty, and fifty are left. Should I free them for him?” He replied: Had he been a Muslim, your freeing slaves, giving sadaqah, or performing hajj on his behalf would all have reached (in rewards) and benefited him.(ahmed)

‘A’ishah(ra) reported that Allah’s Messenger said: Whoever dies while he has a fasting to fulfill (as a vow), his wall 2 should fast for him.(bukhari)

Ibn ‘Abbas(ra) reported that a woman was travelling in the sea, and she vowed that if Allah saved her she would fast for one month. Allah saved her, but she died before fulfilling her vow. Her daughter came to the Prophet and mentioned this to him. He asked, Had she owed money as debt, wouldn’t you have paid it on her behalf? She replied, “Yes.” He said:Allah’s debt is more worthy of being fulfilled. So fulfill (the vow) for your mothers (bukhari)

Sa’d Bin ‘Ubadah reported that he told Allah’s Messenger,”My mother has died; and she had an unfulfilled vow.” He instructed him: Fulfill it for her. (bukhari)

Satd Bin Jubayr(ra)reported that Ibn ‘Abbas(ra)said: “If a man gets sick in Ramadan and then dies without fasting, food should be given on his behalf – without a need to make up for the fasting. But if he had made a vow (to fast), his wali should fast for him.”(abu dawood)

‘Amrah reported that her mother died without making up her missed days of Ramadan. She asked ‘A’ishah(ra)”Should I make that up on her behalf?” She replied: “No! Rather, give sadaqah to the needy in the amount of a half sa 4 (of grains or food) for every missed day.”(ibn hazm) A sa is a measure approximately equal to four scoops, with the hands cupped together, of an average man.

Sa’d Bin al-Atwal(ra)reported that his brother died, leaving behind three hundred dirhams and children. He wanted to spend the money on his brother’s children, but the Prophet told him: Your brother is a captive because of his debt. Go pay it off for him.(ahmed)

Prophet (pbuh) said, “A slave becomes nearest to his Rubb (Allah) when he is in prostration. So increase supplications while prostrating (sujood).”[Muslim]

It has been stated that the life of a Muslim before and after his death are the same (i.e. they should be respected equally). – Mishkaat, Baabud-Dafn and Mirqaat
