Taqdir, Tariqat

“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)

REFORMS

Belief in Taqdeer is a principle article of the Islamic faith.

“Whatever of good reaches you is from Allah and whatever of evil befalls you is from yourself.”(4:79)

….and verily, (the rewards of) the deeds are decided by the last actions (deeds)” bukhari 6607.

“Indeed, the hearts of Adam’s descendents are between the two fingers of the Most Merciful; they are like a single heart that he turns as He wills.” ( Muslim)

“Whoever Allaah Wishes good for, He gives him understanding of the religional(Bukhari)

(jannatis=they find easy to do good deeds for example farz/wajib/sunnah/mustahab)

The goodness is attributed to Allah but the evil is not attributed to him because the evil comes from the creation depending upon how they use what Allah has created.

TAQDIR BEFORE AND AFTER ITS MANIFESTATION

1.Before the taqdeer takes place=should seek the help from Allah, depend upon him and supplicate to him (istikhara before its manifestation)

0 Allah if you know that this matter (and you name it) is good for me.., make it easy for me and bestow blessings in it for me. And if you know that this matter is bad for me …, then keep it away from me and turn me away from it and for me the good wherever it is and then content me with it.” (Bukhari).

2.After the taqdeer takes place(Ridha/content after its manifestation)

Taqdir favoring you =thanking/praising Allah (keep patience and hard work)

Sinful deed = should ask Allah’s forgiveness and repent

Angels will give book of deeds 1.Back and left hand =people of hell 2.Front and right hand =people of heaven

“Allaah wishes for you ease, and He does not wish to make things difficult for

you.” (Soorah al-Baqarah, 2: 185)

“Allaah calls to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to the Straight

Path.” (Soorah Younus, 10: 25)

MEDICINES

Those who visit the ill to earn rewards(ask the patient to dua/pray for you).

“Medicine is a part of Qadar; it may benefit with Allaah’s permission.” (at-Tabaraanee in

al-Kabeer, and authenticated in Saheeh al-Jaami‘, no. 3415)

Aboo Khizaamah said: Allaah’s Messenger (r) was asked, “What do you think of medicine we

treat ourselves with, incantations we recite over ourselves, and shields we use to protect ourselves?Do they stop the destiny to any degree?” He replied, “They are from Allaah’s Decree.” (Sunan Ibn-i-Majah)

Reported by Ibn Maajah Book: Medicine, Chapter: Allaah has not sent down a disease except

that He has sent down a cure for it (no. 3480),

He meant by it that it is Allaah who has decreed good and evil as well as causes for each one of them

MISHAPS/ACCIDENTAL

“Indeed, Allaah overlooks the inadvertent mistakes and forgetfulness of my nation and what they

are forced to do.” (Sunan Ibn-i-Majah and authenticated in Saheeh al-Jaami‘ as-Sagheer, no.

3515)

CLAMITY/CHARITY

A certain calamity is to befall him unless he averts it by spending in charity.

‘for any trouble, illness, worry, grief hurt, or sorrow which afflicts a Muslim, even the prick of a thorn, Allah removes in its stead some of his (minor) sins”(Bukhari, Muslim)

“And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands

have earned. And He pardons much.” (Soorah ash-Shooraa, 42: 30)

“Do not say, ‘What Allaah and so and so wishes,’ rather say only, ‘What Allaah

Wishes then so and so.’ Abu Dawood in the Book of Morals (4/295 no. 4980),

‘I have no reward better other than Paradise for a believing servant of mine who is patient and resigned, when I take away one of his beloved ones among the most cherished things of the world.” (Bukhari)

DUA

“O Allaah, give my soul piety and purify it, You are the best of those who purify. Truly, You are its Owner and Protector (Sahih Muslim, Kitaab: Remembrance)

“Allaah dislikes you to engage in three things: useless conversation, too much questioning and

wasting wealth.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

“If you did not sin, Allah would have removed you and put in your place a people who will sin and then ask Him to forgive them that He may forgive them.” (Sahih Muslim, vol. , p. , no. )

..“As for him who gives, fears Allaah, and believes in the best reward, I will make the path of goodness easy for him. But he who is miserly, thinking himself self-sufficient, and denying the best reward, I will make the path for evil easy for him.” (Soorah al-Layl, 92: 5-10)

… So do not ascribe purity to yourselves. He knows best who is pious.” (Soorah an-Najm, 53: 32)

GOOD DEEDS

……carry on doing good deeds, for everyone will find easy (to do) such deeds as will lead him to that for which he has been created …. Muslim vol.4)

“And never say of anything, ‘I shall do such and such thing tomorrow,’ except (with the saying), ‘If Allaah wills!’” (Soorah al-Kahf, 18: 23-24)

“…Do good deeds, for each person will find it easy to do what has been written for him.”bukhari

“Be enthusiastic about what benefits you, seek help from Allaah, and do not

become frustrated(Sahih Muslim, vol. 4, p. 1401, no. 6441)

MAINTAING FAMILY TIES

“Whoever would be pleased that his sustenance be expanded and his term of life extended should maintain his family ties.” (Sahih Al Bukhari, vol. 8, p. 11-12, no. 15 and Sahih Muslim, vol. 4, p.p. 1359-1360, no. )

ALWAYS  SAY IN SHA ALLAH/ HE DOES WHATEVER HE WILLS/INNA LILLAHI WA INA ILAHI RAJIUN

“And never say of anything, ‘I shall do such and such thing tomorrow,’ except (with the saying), ‘If Allaah wills!’” (Soorah al-Kahf, 18: 23-24)

And if anything befalls you, do not say: ‘If only I had done this, such and such would have happened.’ Instead say, ‘It is the decree of Allaah and He does whatever He wills.’ For ‘if’ surely opens the door for Satan’s work.” Sahih Muslim, vol. 4, p. 1401, no. 6441

“Those who when afflicted with calamity, say: ‘Indeed! To Allaah we belong and to Him we will return.’ They are those on whom are the praises from their Lord, and receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones.” (Soorah al-Baqarah, 2: 156-7)

SEEKING ALLAH’S MERCY/FAZAL

Mercy =100 parts (1 part distributed in creation and 99 parts are with Allah-will use to judge mankind on the Day of Judgement)

Its Allah’s mercy/fazal which takes you to jannah not amal/deeds

RasoolAllah’s shafaat e kubra and auliaAllah’s shafaat e sugra is Allah’s mercy.

LAYLATUL QADR

“Allah blots out what he wills and conforms (what he wills): and with Him is the mother of the book (i.e. book of conclusive records).” ( 13:39)

Commenting on the above verse Mujahid said, “During Laylatul-Qadr (night of the Decrees), Allah decided what provisions and disasters will occur in the next year. He then brings forward or back (or blots out) whatever He wills.” (Ibn Katheer)

Al Kitabah means that Allah wrote everything about the creation. He has written what He says and what He does and all that comes to existence due to His actions and sayings. All is written in Umm ul kitab (lit: the mother of the book) known also as (al-Lauh al-Mahfoudh) The preserved tablet and (Ad dhikr) the original book of records. Allah says which means):

“Allah had written the ordained measures (and due proportions) of the creation, fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth and His Arsh was on the water” (saheeh Muslim v4 pg. 1397)

Ibn ‘Abbaas said, “On the Night of Qadr, the deaths or births, the provision, the rain, and even the pilgrims of the coming year, such that it is said so and so will perform Hajj, are written from the Umm ul-Kitaab (al-Lawh ul-Mahfooz).” ad-Dur al-Manthoor, vol. 6, p. 25

Ibn ‘Abbaas and others commented, “The angels record the deeds of the creatures and then

ascend to heaven with them. There they meet the angels entrusted with the Records of Deeds sent down annually from the Protected Tablet on Laylatul-Qadr containing what Allaah has written will occur from His creatures long before He created them. They will compare their records and find out that not a single letter was added or deleted.” Then he recited the verse: “Indeed, I recorded what you used to do.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, vol. 9, p. 36)

….and verily, (the rewards of) the deeds are decided by the last actions (deeds)” bukhari 6607.
