Dhikr involves muraqaba or meditation, through which one reaches the state of ihsan or excellence, wherein a person worships Allah as if he is actually seeing Him.
Zikr/remembering Allah” means ”tongue acknowledgment and heart confirmation”. i.e. it is a repetition and mind concentration that awakens one’s heart and feelings.
”Without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find
satisfaction”. [Surah Al-Ra’d (Thunder) 28]

,verse 152]
”Celebrate Allah’s praises standing, sitting down, or lying on your sides”
[Surah Al-Nisaa (The Women) , verse 103]

(SUBHANU WA TAALA) morning and evening is superior to breaking swords in
fighting for Allah (SUBHANU WA TAALA) and spending generously in His way.” Ibn Abi Shaybah,

“Remember Allah (SUBHANU WA TAALA) so much that people start saying, ‘He has
gone mad.’” Ahmad ibn Hambal, al-Musnad (3:68#11671)

invoke a blessing on the Prophet, it will be a cause of grief for them on the
Day of Judgment.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi, who graded it hasan.)
