“Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem”Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu ‘Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma ‘een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)
20/124-126 And whoever turns away from My direction and guidance (i.e., remembrance and advice), his worldly sustenance will be narrowed, and We shall raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection (as well).’ He will say: ‘O my Lord, why have You raised me up blind (Today) whereas I had vision (in the world)?’ (Allah) will say: ‘In like manner, Our signs came to you (in the world), but you forgot them, and the same way you (too) will be forgotten Today.’
2/45… And seek (Allah’s) help through patience and Prayer. But this is no doubt hard except for the humble (whose hearts have been softened with the Love of Allah and gripped with His Fear)
8/28. … your riches and your children are nothing but a trial..
10/44. … they (themselves) do injustice to their own souls.
10/57. ….there has come to you an admonition from your Lord, and a cure for all those (diseases) which are (hidden) in the breasts.
10/57..And it is guidance and mercy (too) for those who are blessed with faith
11/15-16. Those who lust after the worldly life (only) with its beauty (and embellishment), We pay them back in full for their works here in this world…….. ( there is no (share) in the Hereafter except the Fire (of Hell))
89/ 27,28,29,30- O contented (pleased) self! Return to your Lord in such a state that you are both the aspirant to, and the aspired of, His pleasure (i.e., you seek His pleasure and He seeks yours). So join My (perfect) servants. And enter My Paradise (of nearness and sight).
13/11. For (every) human being there are (angels) coming in succession who, before him and behind him, guard him by the command of Allah.
101/6-7 So he whose scales of deeds in the balance will be heavy, He will be in luxury and delight.
101/9….But as for him whose scales of deeds in the balance will be light, His abode will be Hawiya (a pit in Hell)!
70/19- Surely, man has been created impatient and greedy.
29/69. And those who strive hard (and struggle against the lower self vehemently) for Our cause, We certainly guide them to Our ways,
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (ra) : The Prophet ﷺonce passed by two Graves and said, “These two persons are being punished not for a major sin (to refrain from). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other used to go about with calumnies(to make enmity between friends).” The Prophet ﷺ then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree, split it into (pieces) and fixed one on each Grave. They said, “O Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ)! Why have you done so?” He replied, “I hope that their punishment might be lessened till these (the pieces of the leaf) become dry.” (Bukhari – Book 4,Hadith 217)
Yahya (ra) related from Imam Maalik (ra) that he heard that AIi Ibn Abi Talib (ra) used to rest his head on Graves and lie on them [meaning holding the grave with his stretched hands while his head, entire face and chest is rested on the Grave]. Maalik (ra) said, “As far as we can see, it is only forbidden to sit on the Graves to relieve oneself.” (Muatta’ Imâm Malik Book #16, Hadith #16.11.34)
Narrated by al-Haakim that Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (ra) placed his forehead on the grave of Prophet Mohammad ﷺ. Marwan Ibn al-Hakam, the Governor of Madina, saw him and held his neck. Abu Ayyub (ra) said I did not come to the Stone (Idol). I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Do not weep for Islam if the qualified people were in-charge, but weep for it, if it was under the charge of unqualified. (Al-Hakim in Mustadrak ).
Mu`adh Ibn Jabal (ra) and Bilal (ra) came to the Grave of the Prophet ﷺ and sat weeping and Bilal (ra) rubbed his face against the Grave of Prophet ﷺ. (Ibn Majah 2:1320, Ahmad, al-Tabarani, al-Subki, and Ibn Asakir).
“When you are a custodian of any dead, give them a fine shroud because they (the dead believers) visit one another place and meet one another (Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Baihaqi).
Narrated Amr ibn al-‘As (ra) : Ibn Shamasah (ra) said: We went to Amr ibn al-‘As (ra) and he was about to die. He wept for a long time and turned his face towards the wall. His son said: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not give you tidings of this? Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not give you tidings of this? He (the narrator) said: He turned his face (towards the audience) and said: The best thing which we can count upon is the testimony that there is no god but Allah ﷻand that Muhammad ﷺ is the Apostle of Allah. Verily I have passed through three phases. When I die, let neither female mourner nor fire accompany me. When you bury me, fill my grave well with earth, then stand around it for a time which a camel is slaughtered and its meat is distributed so that I may enjoy your intimacy and (in your company) ascertain what answer I can give to the messengers (angels) of Allah ﷻ. (Muslim, Book 1, Number 0220)
