The Concept of Haazir-o-Naazir

Shaikh Abdul-Haqq Muhaddith Dehlwi (ra)– the Mujaddid (Reviver) writes

The souls of the deceased got to the homes of their family and friends on a Thursday and wish for Esaal-e­Thawaab. – Asbtatul-Lam ‘aat, Baabu Ziyaaratil-Quboor.

rasoolullah ﷺ is Haazir-o-Naazir on the deeds of his Ummah”. (Haashiya Akhbarul Akhyaar,Page 155)

“Allah Ta’ala has given the Holy Prophet ﷺ the strength and power to go anywhere he likes, he can go with his own body or only in soul. On the earth, in the sky, in the grave and the Holy Prophet’s ﷺ connection stays with his own shrine.” (Madarijun Nabuwat).

“In Attahiyat, the reason for reciting ‘Ayyohannabi’ is that Haqqiqat-e-Muhammadi (Reality

[light]

of the Holy Prophet [ﷺ]) is present in every little thing. Therefore, it is present in the people praying Salaat, and those performing the Salaat should be fully aware of this fact and should not pay attention to anything except for the Holy Prophet’s (ﷺ) presence (haaziri)”. (Madarijun Nabuwat Vol. 1 part 4 – Zikreh Fazaaileh Nabi)

“This is glad tidings for those who see the Holy Prophet ﷺ in their dreams that after arriving from the darkness of the Nafs and the completion of the desires of the body they have reached this stage that in reality, without any veil in the condition of awakeness they will have this opportunity of seeing him just like the Awliyah Allah who see him while awake. In this text, this Hadith proves that it is possible and proper to see the Holy Prophet ﷺ while awake.” (Ash Atul Lam’aat)

“there is absolutely no conflict between the learned of the ummah that the the holy prophet ﷺ is alive and remains with actual life without any possibility of interpretation or figuration of his existence.they also agree that he is haazir and naazir over his ummah ‘s doings and bestows guidance to those who seek and are present in his court .he is also their developer’-sulooki agrabis subul bit tawajuh ilaa sayyidir rasul ﷺ.And ‘the prophets are alive and exist with actual physical life .they also posses authority .there is absolutely no objection to this—-(sharah futoohil-ghaib pg333).

‘remember the holy prophet ﷺ, send darood upon him and when remembering him ,remain as if he is physically present  before you and that you are seeing him.remain with adab,respect and humility and know that the the holy prophet ﷺ sees you and hears speech because he is a reflection of superior qualities ,one of which is “I’m present by the person who remembers me ”-madaarijun –nubuwah.

 “ if it is said after this that allah ﷻ granted the body of the holy prophet ﷺ such a condition and power that he can go to which ever place he wishes to, whether with his body or a likeness to heavens or the grave ,then this statement is correct. There is special connection with the grave in every condition’-madaarijun nubuwah vol2 pg450.

 ‘ A few ariffen have said that the reason for the direct addressing (khitaaab) of  the holy prophet ﷺ in at-tihayat is because the reality of the the holy prophet ﷺ(haqeeqat e muhammadiya) being is present in every particle of creation and possibility.therefore he is haazir in the beings of namaazis.those who make salaah should take heed of this and not neglect his witnessing. By being aware of this the secrets and noor of proximity will propel them to success’-ashiatul-lamaat kitaabus salaah baabut tashahud madaarijun nubuwah vol1 pg 135.
